This headband requires a small backstory! A few years ago, we received a few male alpacas. One of those boys found a huge patch of burrs, and had them become so entangled in his top knot (all the fiber at the top of their head), we had no choice but to completely shave off all the fiber on top of his head. The poor boy was bald for almost a year! This headband reminds me of him!
One of my all time favorite accessories is a good fitting headband. Not only do they keep my ears toasty warm when there is a chill in the air, but I can still wear my hair in what is usually my everyday style...thrown together into some sort of crazy bun, so I can rush out the door.
This snug fitting band is knit from 100% alpaca fiber, and secured with two antler buttons that we have made ourselves. We find antler sheds all over our property and love using them in fun and creative ways. Each is unique in shape as no two antlers are ever quite the same!
